Ahhh! I’m over-the-moon-excited to share these photos with you of what has to be, hands-down, wedding of the century. Sure, I’m probably biased, but word on the street is that Leo and I threw one hell of a party. From hanging out with Vanna White, […]
For the past few weeks, I have been in the process of catching up with all of the amazing photos from our wedding weekend, and I feel like I’ve finally collected so many from friends and family …. so now it’s time to share them!
A Rooftop Rehearsal Dinner
We started the rehearsal in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Montecito to run through what we thought would be a very smooth ceremony 🙂 I will have more on the actual ceremony on that in my next post 🙂
After we practiced at the church, we headed to the Canary Hotel in downtown Santa Barbara, where Leo’s parents hosted the most beautiful rehearsal dinner! The food included multiple types of salads, three types of pastas, and a carving station with beef & salmon.
The rooftop has stunning views of the mountains and the sea, and Leo and I felt like it would be the perfect location to kick off the celebrations. Since the majority of our friends and family were traveling from Mexico, the Midwest, New York and even London, we wanted to be sure to show them the best that Santa Barbara has to offer.
We had quite a big rehearsal dinner, but we felt that it was really important for those who were traveling from great distances to be included in the entire weekend activities. And although it was a really big dinner, it was a wonderful way for both sides of the family to spend time together, making the actual wedding that much more enjoyable.
Thank you to our friends and family who came to celebrate with us! We had such an amazing rehearsal dinner!
The wedding post is up next, so stay posted! xx
After the excitement from Christmas and the engagement party, we headed down to Santa Barbara to finalize some of the wedding planning details, and to get a little R&R from the holiday craziness. We stayed at the Fess Parker, which is great because it’s dog […]
If you’ve planned a wedding, or if you’re in the midst of planning a wedding, then you know it’s no easy feat. Not only are there a million different things to consider – location, music, reception, ceremony, style, bridesmaids, guests, but how in the world […]
If you read my last wedding post, then you’d probably be wondering about the groomsmen. Similar to the bridesmaids, we put together little care packages to let the guys know how much we care and want them to be a part of our wedding day!
3 Original Groomsmen Gifts
We wanted to put together the perfect package that was custom to each guy, included something that Leo loves, and had a hipster edge. The first thing in the package was a pair of socks asking, “I mustache you a question, will you be my groomsman?” You can takes look here.
The next thing we included was the prom bow tie – vintage burgundy, navy and ivory. You can find it in this awesome Etsy shop. After all, this is going to be a classy event!
The final gift was a custom cork screw, which we also found on Etsy. We wanted to customize the gifts, and this was a perfect way of doing that! Plus if you know anything about Leo’s love for wine, then you’d know that we had to include a wine gift. These turned out so well, and they were the best finishing touch to the groomsmen packages!
Similar to the bridesmaid gifts, we got small gray chevron boxes from Paper Source, and then shipped them off.
The guys loved them, and a few even said that it was the most creative way they’ve ever seen anyone get asked. Job well done! Stay tuned for more wedding posts to come! Xx
