After a long weekend of Relaxing, Wine Tasting and Scaling Mountains in San Luis, I sadly returned back to San Francisco on Tuesday night. The boyfriend and I spent a few days down in paradise, and I wanted to share some of the photos from the weekend! We stayed at the Cliffs Resort, which was just amazing! The hotel sat right on the water, with a pool, hottub and plenty of other ways to relax.

Foodies

We also ate extremely well…  We had oysters, amazing scallops with raspberries and cilantro (I need to re-create that recipe somehow!), cheese, charcuterie, fruit, veggies, and more!

Wine Tasting

We did a bit of wine tasting too, since San Luis has some incredible vineyards. We stopped by Wolff Vineyard, and Tolosa. A beautiful day and delicious wines are always a perfect way to spend a weekend. I loved both wineries and look forward to going back. Check them out if you’re in the area!

Scaling Mountains

We even scaled a mountain…. Even though it was only a 3 mile hike, we spent an hour and a half climbing 1,200 feet. Some of it was actual rock climbing, which needless to say, I wasn’t prepared for. However, the view was awesome, and the hike was completely worth it. Just look at this view of SLO! If you’re looking to do this hike, check out Bishop’s Peak.

Olive Oil Tasting

On our drive back home, we stopped in Paso Robles for some amazing farm fresh olive oil from Pasolivo! Being the little chef that I am, I walked away with a few amazing new olive oils, truffle salt, and black lava salt. I can’t wait to include it in my new recipes – so stay tuned 🙂 I unfortunately didn’t snap any pictures from Pasolivo, but trust me that it was amazing, and visit if you get a chance!
