The past week and a half has been an absolute whirlwind, and I can’t wait to tell you all about the Highlights from LA: new clients, new website & more! There have been ups, downs and all sorts of in betweens. Vienda and I traveled down to Santa Barbara and LA to meet with some potential new clients, and the trip was a huge success. We visited with old friends, did a lot of networking, and we also spent some more time on our branding. As Vienda says, “Clarity is magic”.
Our most exciting new client that we are happy to announce is celebrity chef, Nikki Martin. Nikki is an LA-born and bred self taught chef, who was most recently seen as a finalist of Season 8’s Food Network Star. She’s got a new show coming up, and the Minxes are so excited to bring her on board. She has got some upcoming events, so please stay posted for them! Check out Nikki with Bobby Flay from last season.
We have a few other new clients in the works, but we can’t quite announce them yet. Don’t worry though; we’ll tell you shortly!
YES! The Minxes have a solid first version of our site that is live! Check it out at www.marketingminxes.com and let us know what you think. We will have a blog where you can get the latest information about where we are, what we’re doing and who we’re hanging out with 🙂 It’s not up yet, but it will be soon.
Almost Accidentally Moving into a Brothel….
On the second to last day, my partner-in-marketing-minxing-crime, Vienda, and I found a therapist, who needed an editor for the copy from her HBO television show and the marketing material, in exchange for a living space. Since much of our client work will be in LA this summer, we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to expand our network and find a quick and easy living space. Plus, the living space was a 14,000 sq ft penthouse with a chef, maid service, DSL, tv, recording studio, erotic art collection, stocked bar, and more. Vienda and I showed up to the space, and it was located in downtown LA in a dodgy part of town that was surrounded by a bunch of run-down warehouses.
We walk inside, and hmm…. How do I describe this? Imagine a huge worn down warehouse that is filled with dingy animal print carpets, shabby red curtains, sex paraphernalia everywhere, erotic art, cheap pool tables, and a stench of alcohol, drugs, and lord knows what else! It was absolutely AWFUL. Needless to say, the Mixnes got out of there real quick.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us, met with us, let us crash in their apartments, took us to their favorite spots, and any other generosity you have sent our way. Our SoCal trip was extremely successful, and it wouldn’t have been possible without our lovelies – so thank you 🙂 xx
